Collection of personal information

Rochester Community Education School Age Child Care collects and uses personal information with adequate notice and consent, when applicable. For example, when you register for events or classes, or pay for products or services, we will ask you to provide personal information to complete these transactions. This information will include contact information such as your name, address, telephone number, and email address; financial information such as your credit card number; and other unique information such as user IDs and passwords. If you apply for Sliding Scale Fees, we will ask you to provide information such as salary and or family size. This information will be used in determining the discounts applicable for your registrations.

How we use your information

Rochester Community Education School Age Child Care may use your information to:

-      Help register you or any member or your family to the classes, products and services offered through this web site.

-      Assist you in completing a transaction or order;

-      Communicate with you about classes, products, etc.

-      Provide service and support;

Credit card information is used only for payment processing and fraud prevention. Credit card information and other sensitive personal information required to process a transaction and is not used for any other purpose. 

Keeping your personal information secure

To prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, to maintain data accuracy, and to ensure the appropriate use of the information, Rochester Community Education School Age Child Care utilizes appropriate physical, technical and administrative procedures to safeguard the information we collect.

We use a 128 bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption, provided by Verisign, the largest provider of Security to the Internet world during the entire registration process.   Our software vendor, rSchoolToday, is also PCI complaint, which is the Federal standard for credit card security for Personal Cardholder Information. 

SSL encryption is designed to make the information unreadable by anyone but you or us.  This security measure is working when you see the symbol of either an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on your browser) at the bottom of your browser window.
